What a way to start the morning

Just got back from Body & Soul.  Yes it's a spa.  And yes I got a massage.  And my-oh-my. . .what a feeling!  For one of my Christmas presents Cindy got me a gift certificate for a 1-hour body massage.  Holy Molely, was it worth it!

I really enjoyed it, but that poor girl worked herself to death trying to get all the kinks out of my back.  She probably had to take a break and get a massage herself afterwards.

Ladies, get your man a massage, he will definitely thank you for it later.  Guys, suck it up and let them work the kinks out.

Yes, I still work out, go for runs,  like to ride my Harley, and all the things I used to do.  I'm just saying it's worth an  hour to treat the muscles to a little rub down.

Sweetie - THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

YEa. I cant wait . I'm going to go get one on Monday. Boy, my back really needs it. Beoing 6'7" really has some disadvantages. My back is killing me. And ever since I've been working this new job the cramps have come back in my legs bad. Thanks for inspiring me to go get one. I CANT WAIT

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Yesterday was the Day

Yeah, ok, so it the title should read Today is the Day! But I was busy last night so I didn't get a chance to post. So. . .it's Yesterday was the Day . " The day for what? ", you may be asking yourself. Mmmmmmm. . . If you've been tracking things here at Soakin' Up Life you know that I haven't been soakin' up very much lately because I've been so worn out. Well. . .last week the guys I meet with each week for Bible study jumped my case about not working out, running, cycling, or SOMETHING! Then, when got home yesterday a friend of mine TOLD me to get on my bike and hit the road - not suggest, told me to head out the door! I took their advice. I hung up the phone, changed clothes, grabbed my bike and headed out the door for a 20-mile ride. What a difference 20 miles makes.
