That Lovin' Feelin'!


No, I'm not talking 'bout the Righteous Brothers' You've Lost that Loving Feeling. I talking about the feeling you get when you straddle your Harley and head out down the highway. It's more of a Steppenwolf's Born to Be Wild kinda feelin.

I got that feeling last night when I rushed home to clean up the bike then headed to Mobile for dinner, movie, and coffee with some friends. Got home late last night, but it didn't matter. Just being out on the road again on my motorcycle is incredible.

Today I'm taking a young guy out to ride. He's fairly new at this and needs some help. So he called me! Pray for him. Not because he's new, but because he called me! What was he thinking? Doesn't matter. Got a chili cook-off and a car show to go to today.

Gotta go and get dressed.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that? Frosted Flakes - don't get soggy in milk Peanut Butter Crunch - Cap'n Crunch and peanut butter, what's not to like? Wheat Chex - add a banana, mmmm. . .mmmmm. . .good!
