Greatest Lessons

We've been discussing what it means a looks like to be a Disciple-Making Disciple in our ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship) - one who not just knows more about GOD, but is personally involved in helping others become followers of Jesus Christ.

Last night I asked our ABF the following questions:

  1. What's the greatest lesson GOD has taught you this year?  How has that lesson affected your relationship with GOD and with others?
  2. What has helped you the most in your spiritual growth (i.e., Bible Study - personal or group, other Christians, Spiritual Disciplines - Prayer, Personal time with GOD, Memorizing Scripture)?
  3. What's your greatest struggle right now?
  4. What would you do with or say to a new believer to help them in their spiritual journey?
At then end of the night we read 2 Timothy 2:2 - You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses.  Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. (NLT)

I love the honesty of our group.  There were tears, laughter, discussion, and discovery.  It was an incredible time.  We wrapped up the evening by connecting some dots. . .what we learn, how we grow and where we struggle are very important, not just for our growth, but for the growth of others, was well.

What about you?  How would you answer these questions?

Blessings,
Mike
