The Weekend Update

Hanging out at the house this morning. Just kinda vegging. It's a beautiful day to just hang. This week's been pretty busy...good, but busy.

Cindy's been busy subbing at a couple of the area schools. She's also been working on getting last minute items together for her Africa mission trip. She leaves in just three weeks! She's getting excited.

Tomorrow we host Greater Gresham's Membership Workshop. I'm excited about getting to help with it. It's my first workshop where I'm getting to help at GGBC. I love helping people get connected with what God's doing at Greater Gresham.

Next week Cindy and I head to Seaside, OR for NWBC's Oasis Retreat. Cindy can't wait to see the ocean again. I have to admit...I'm looking forward to seeing the ocean as well. OK, I really look forward to seeing my wife seeing the ocean.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that? Frosted Flakes - don't get soggy in milk Peanut Butter Crunch - Cap'n Crunch and peanut butter, what's not to like? Wheat Chex - add a banana, mmmm. . .mmmmm. . .good!
