First Day Off

Today is my day off and we have to decide what to do. We could. . .
  • Do some things around the house - unpack more boxes, hang out
  • Go to Cafe Delirium and get some coffee and hang out
  • Go get a new TV - ours finally gave way, did you know you can't buy tv's with tubes in them anymore? Man they were so much cheaper!
  • Go to Clackamas Town Center - got lots of shops there, even an REI store! and possibly see Quantum of Solace
  • ???????
We'll decide and let you know!

Well, we got most of the list done today! We unpacked and set up the guest bedroom. hung curtains in the guest bedroom and the master bedroom. nice and homey! no TV YET! will get that next week. you and I know why. no shopping BUT we did get to see Quantum of Solace! Very good, if I do say so myself. LOTS of fight scenes, almost like Hockey huh? :) Love you! Thanks for ALL your help with house. Tomorrow? Garage Sale! Get rid of STUFF! yea!

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? The worship was great - thanks to the brown band ! Hey Michell, Gabi, Rooster, Noah, and #14. They'll get it. Jon Randles really challenged us with his messages - 7 Marks of a Disciple . Need a speaker that speaks truth with wisdom? Get Randles. College or students. He's good. But the late nights and early mornings - WHEW!!

I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that? Frosted Flakes - don't get soggy in milk Peanut Butter Crunch - Cap'n Crunch and peanut butter, what's not to like? Wheat Chex - add a banana, mmmm. . .mmmmm. . .good!
