Holy Cow!! The BoSox Do It AGAIN!

That's right folks, just when it looked like the Red Sox were about to roll over for the very talented and powerful Tampa Bay Rays, they pulled out another come from behind victory!

I, sad to say, had just about given up on the Red Stockings when they came from seven down in the last three innings to take game five 8-7. Whether it was the Rays choking or the Sox just finally shutting down the Rays hitting while getting in their own hitting groove I don't really know. What I do know is that this win put some much needed wind in Boston's sails.

The series heads back to Tampa Bay for game six tomorrow night. Will the Rays shut down Boston in their home town or will the Red Sox step up and take it to another game seven? These all important questions are to be answered Saturday night.

Go Boston!!

I agree with what you are saying...the sox did an awesome job of pulling it out...hat off to them....BUT the RAYs have never ever been to the World Series....I am rooting for them to win...EVERYONE deserves to go to the World Series....GO RAYS!!!!

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Yesterday was the Day

Yeah, ok, so it the title should read Today is the Day! But I was busy last night so I didn't get a chance to post. So. . .it's Yesterday was the Day . " The day for what? ", you may be asking yourself. Mmmmmmm. . . If you've been tracking things here at Soakin' Up Life you know that I haven't been soakin' up very much lately because I've been so worn out. Well. . .last week the guys I meet with each week for Bible study jumped my case about not working out, running, cycling, or SOMETHING! Then, when got home yesterday a friend of mine TOLD me to get on my bike and hit the road - not suggest, told me to head out the door! I took their advice. I hung up the phone, changed clothes, grabbed my bike and headed out the door for a 20-mile ride. What a difference 20 miles makes.
