The Masters

This week kicks off one of my favorite weeks of golf - The Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA. I don't play as much as I used to - actually, I don't play at all. Still have my clubs and I still enjoy playing when I can get a round in. I just don't play. Regardless, I still love watching certain tournaments and this is one of them. I love the drama, the course, the game, and the excitement that surrounds The Masters.

So. . .will Tiger win another one? He's been hot - like you could fry an egg hot. Do you think he will continue his 2008 charge? He's good on technical courses and he's always long. He also desires to get better. He never settles for the status quo.

If not Tiger, then who do you think has a chance to win it this year?

I like Tiger - I like his attitude, his will to win, and his chances to win it again this year.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? Question for You

I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that? Frosted Flakes - don't get soggy in milk Peanut Butter Crunch - Cap'n Crunch and peanut butter, what's not to like? Wheat Chex - add a banana, mmmm. . .mmmmm. . .good!
