While on My Morning Run

This morning I hit the streets on a 4.3 mile run. It's my first 4-miler in a very long time. It was my long run day - taking it slow and easy. I loved getting out and enjoying the run.

One thing I've learned about running or cycling is that you never know what you will run into, see, or experience. This morning about half-way through the run I noticed something unusual coming toward me on Celeste Road. As it got closer and closer I noticed it's unmistakable shape. . .it was a DeLorean. That's right, a DeLorean! Remember the movie series, Back to the Future, featuring Michael J. Fox? Remember the car he used to go back in time in? This was that same car - OK, probably not the actual car, but the same model.

I remember the DeLorean in it's hey-day. It was smooth, sleek, and stinkin' fast. One came up beside me one day on my way home on the Dallas Tollway. Two hills was all it took for me to loose sight of it.

Anyway. . .thought it was kinda cool - a DeLorean!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now.
