Need Your Prayers

Please pray for our Senior Pastor, Ed Litton, and his family.

Yesterday his wife, Tammy, and daughter, Kayla, were involved in a tragic accident. Kayla is fine, but the accident took the life of Tammy Litton.

We know that Tammy is in heaven worshiping her God, but that doesn't make the loss any easier.

Ed & Tammy have three children - Josh (attends Full Sail school in Orlando), Tyler (who is about to start school at Union University in Jackson, TN), and Kayla (she is in high school)

Pray for the arrangements.

Pray for the loss in their lives of a co-laborer for Christ, helpmate, friend, and mother.

Pray for the First Baptist North Mobile family.

Ask God for strength. Ask God for grace. Ask God courage for this family.

Finally, I know Ed and Tammy well enough to know that they would ask that you pray for God to be glorified through all of this.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that? Frosted Flakes - don't get soggy in milk Peanut Butter Crunch - Cap'n Crunch and peanut butter, what's not to like? Wheat Chex - add a banana, mmmm. . .mmmmm. . .good!
