F Y I

Just wanted to let those of you who read my blogs know that God has put someone new in my life. Her name is Cindy and she has a heart for God, missions, and children. During the school year she teaches first graders. During the summer she can usually be found on a mission trip directing or working with children.

She has a great smile, beautiful eyes, and she makes me laugh.

So you can get an idea of what she looks like here are a couple of pics of her:

Mike, sorry for the late post, but I'm just getting back into the routine of keeping up with friends through their blogs...I can't wait to meet Cindy. Looks like you guys are having some good times together.

Tell her to give me a call. I need to tell her some things ;-)

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that?
