All's Quiet. . .

It's kind of quiet around the old homestead tonight.

I think I'm enjoying it. It's one of those wierd times when you enjoy the silence, but have a lot to do so you don't know whether to sit and soak or to crank up some tunes and get busy.

I think I'll rest for a sec, then get up and get busy.

Ever have those times when both sound good and just don't know which one you should do?

Maybe it's because I'm wierd.

Maybe it's because I don't get this opportunity very often and I just don't know what to do with it when I do get it.

Maybe I should just stop typing and enjoy the quiet.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now.
