Dallas v. San Antonio



What's Dallas doing? The Mavs should have already closed out this series. Now. . .I want to say up front, the Spurs are the reigning champs and they are still a great team, so I give them their props. BUT COME ON!!!!

In last night's game Dallas was in control. They were leading. They had the series wrapped up. What happened?!

I went to bed during the third quarter thinking I'd get up and see the headlines, DALLAS MOVES ON TO WESTERN FINALS! BUT NOOOOOOO!!! They give it away in the second half. What's up with that? HEY DALLAS - get a killer instinct!!

Now it goes to a game 7 and heads back to San Anonio. Not a place where you expect to win if your the Mavs. But as this series has shown, it's anybodies guess who will win. Whether it's the Mavs or the Spurs there WILL be a Texas team playing in the Western Division Finals.

Come on Dallas, step it up!

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that?
