Rick Warren & the Saints

Yesterday, while I was hangin' with our Pastor he was surfing the net and ran across an article that claimed that Rick Warren had purchased the New Orleans Saints! It's not exactly new, but we had just ran across it. We just started laughing. We knew it couldn't be real, but what if. . .?

Then I began thinking, "What if influential, godly people like Rick Warren began purchasing, owning, and being invoved in organizations like professional teams, corporations, and the like?" Good, bad, indifferent?

What changes in organizations could you see taking place - like naming the stadium Purpose Driven Field, or handing out copies of Purpose Driven Life? Anyway, hope you see where this is going. It could be as serious or as outrageous as you could think.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that? Frosted Flakes - don't get soggy in milk Peanut Butter Crunch - Cap'n Crunch and peanut butter, what's not to like? Wheat Chex - add a banana, mmmm. . .mmmmm. . .good!
