IT'S F-R-I-D-A-Y!!!

It's Friday - for me that means I am in the office getting things ready for Sunday. Today's agenda: clean my stinkin' office!! Because of all the stuff I've been involved in lately, stuff has been just piling up and now it's driving me CRAZY!

AND. . .since I'm the Education Pastor is seems that everything associate with adult ministry winds up in my office. There's boxes, cables, extension cords, t-shirts, more boxes, files - you name it it's probably in my office. I did find a gift card to Carpe Diem, a local coffee shop. That's pretty cool, eh?

So, in a few minutes, my assistant, Suzanne, and I will be sitting down and going through stuff. Don't have a clue what we'll find, what we will do with what we will find, but I'm sure we'll have fun doing it. Why? IT'S F-R-I-D-A-Y!!!

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? Question for You

I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that? Frosted Flakes - don't get soggy in milk Peanut Butter Crunch - Cap'n Crunch and peanut butter, what's not to like? Wheat Chex - add a banana, mmmm. . .mmmmm. . .good!
