Well, there you have it

Well it's done. Texas and USC will face off for the national championship in the Rose Bowl on January 4, 2006. I can't wait!

I do have one bone in my craw and it's stickin' in there pretty well. Why are all of today's games so lopsided? I already knew the Longhorns would stomp a Texas-size mudhole in Colorado. But what happened to UCLA? This was supposed to be the closest team to beating USC - before USC faces Texas!! Then Georgia and LSU - it's Georgia over LSU 21-7 in the 3rd quarter - yeah my cousins in Georgia are bouncing off the walls - WOOF, WOOF. And Navy wins over Army by what, 19 points? Go NAVY!!

OK, so now what do we do? We wait for almost half of the teams in Division 1-A to play in some bowl game throughout the month of December. Then, in January, the real bowls begin - YEAH BA-BY!!

So. . .in the meantime get your team's colors, grab a seat in front of the TV, invite some friends, and have a great Bowl Season!!

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? Need a speaker that speaks truth with wisdom? Get Randles. College or students. He's good. But the late nights and early mornings - WHEW!!

I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that? Frosted Flakes - don't get soggy in milk Peanut Butter Crunch - Cap'n Crunch and peanut butter, what's not to like? Wheat Chex - add a banana, mmmm. . .mmmmm. . .good!
