Stinkin' Love Bugs

What is up with these love bugs? I dont' get it. I had to put up with them in East Texas and now I have to put up with them in Alabama.

For those of you who are not familiar with these little "pests" there are almost always 2 of them together - hence the name "love bugs". Yes. . . together means connected. Check out the picture. You want more info click here.

They are pests, plain and simple. They have no understandable purpose on the planet. They get on your paint and if not removed soon enough can damage your car's paint due to the acid in their bodies. They get on your windshield and getting them off takes an act of God.

Speaking of God - what purpose do they serve. What was he thinking? It would be different if he had to clean his windshield or had to use his windshield wipers right after running through a swarm of love bugs.

For those of you not in the know, imagine someone spreading butter on your windshield, but it doesn't come off! It just smears and smears and smears. No matter how much windshield cleaner you use or how hard you run the wipers it just doesn't work.

So, God, where's your truck - I picture God in a truck, a man's vehicle. Then again, would it make a difference to God? He would probably drive right through them and never kill a one. Man, wouldn't that be cool?

So if you're out there and encounter a swarm of the unlovable love bugs, just remember God created them, we have to deal with them, take it up with him. And don't forget to get your car washed.

Bugged in Bama,
Mike

Hi....I really got a good laugh from your blog. Won't it be great when we get to Heaven and say, "Hey, God....so what's the deal with these love bugs?!"

Thanks for the fun read.....
