Runnin' with my hair on fire!

NO SIRRREEEE! Michael Jackson doesn't have a thing on me this week. This week I am runnin' with my hair on fire! For those of you who don't know "hair on fire" stuff, it means that I have so much to do that I'm running from place to place, event to event, and from task to task.

To be honest, I kinda like it. It makes me concentrate more and I tend to focus on the tasks. BUUUTTTT, it does tend to give me "Tiger Vision" and sometimes I don't see the obvious around me. If that's you or your question, task, or appointment - sorry!

Well I'm in Lufkin closing on my house here today. This makes me homeless for a couple of days. I still get to hang out in the house in Lufkin 'til the end of the week. I fly back to Mobile in the morning (Tuesday, July 19). Get there about noon and head to the church. Wednesday morning I'm supposed to close on my house in Mobile (actually Saraland - just to the north of Mobile - hence the name "North Mobile"). Wednesday I fly to Dallas to pick up a car, have dinner with Karen's family, then drive back to Lufkin (about 2 1/2 hours). Oh yeah, the packers will be there packing up my house. Thursday they load up and Friday I head out to Mobile, finally. We'll sleep later.

So now you know what it's like to be "runnin' with your hair on fire".

I love this stuff!!! It's how you soak up life at 100 mph and watch God to amzing things in and around you!!

"Hey, get away from me with that hose!!! Gotta go!"

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that?
