Leno's Jay-Walking Allstars

I'm watching Leno with my wife and a friend of ours. And what doth before my eyes appear? Leno's Jaywalking Allstars! Have you seen these people? I mean, come on!! Don't they know we are NOT laughing with them, we are laughing AT them? This isn't rocket science. It couldn't be. We would be here all night.

What kind of life do these guys live where they don't recognize people in the news, public eye, or in our government (I'm talking about the President - it's true. I've seen it.)? The ironic thing is I bet everyone one of them has a cell phone and know how to use every feature on it. They probably can IM 10 people at one time. And who knows what else.

Wait, they'll be back tomorrow. Same bat-time, same bat-channel. Can't wait.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that? Frosted Flakes - don't get soggy in milk Peanut Butter Crunch - Cap'n Crunch and peanut butter, what's not to like? Wheat Chex - add a banana, mmmm. . .mmmmm. . .good!
