A Couple of Surprises

Got a couple of cool surprises

First, Cindy gave me my birthday present early. It was one of those things that if I didn't like it she was going to have to quickly change her plans. Thanks to her power of observation and knowledge of my love for all things technical and gadgety, she gave me a Garmin Nuvi 750. It's a GPS unit and Cindy got it in preparation for our move and transition to Gresham. I've been playing with it out this morning (teehee. . .).

Second, I got my "D" key back on my laptop. It popped of sometime last week and I couldn't get it to go back on AND I didn't want to break something. This morning. . .tried again, a little bit different than I had in the past and hot diggety! It went back on and works just fine.

Third, as my sister-in-law, Michelle, reminded me - the Tennessee Titans are still undefeated! Who'da thunk it?

I am glad you like it! I knew you would be surprised because its like nothing we talked about, but I knew it would come in handy on our new adventures!

As far as the Tennessee Titans are concerned......Im not surprised one bit! I am partial you know. :) Besides, I remember the first year in Nashville, they went to the Super Bowl!

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? Need a speaker that speaks truth with wisdom? Get Randles. College or students. He's good. But the late nights and early mornings - WHEW!!

I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that?
