Prayer Request

Our family could really use your prayers today.



It appears that my dad had a stroke yesterday. He's in the hospital going through all types of tests to determine the severity of everyting. It has affected his vision, the left side of his face is droopy and numb. From what I've found out this morning the droopy stuff is worse today.

He's not one to complain when he is sick, so for him to say something means it may be pretty bad. But my brother did say he is still laughing an joking.

It's hard to imagine a guy who gets up sometime around 2:30 in the morning, works 8 hours, then mows yards 3 or 4 days a week till about 5:00-5:30 pm. He loves staying busy and if you're anything like my dad, then you know how hard it is having to lay up for any reason.

Pray for wisdom for the doctors to find out the severity of everything. Pray for my step-mom, Jane. Pray for my dad's attitude and heart. Don't want him to get discourage.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Question for You

I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. They were asking the question, "If you could live in a totally Christian community would you?" Responses varied. I would be interested in knowing what you think. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now.
