You Heard It Here First!

Mark it down - you heard it here first - West Virginia's Rich Rodriguez is coming to the University of Alabama. According to today's Mobile Register (local paper), Mal Moore, Athletic Director for University of Alabama and Rodriguez's agent have agreed in terms, but the deal is awaiting Rodriguez's hancock before everything is final.

So, I guess this answers the question, Who in their right mind would come to Alabama?

BUT WAIT!! I just ran across this and found this on ESPN.com. Looks like Rodrigues isn't going to Alabama after all. Even if it meant almost doubling his salary. So. . .it looks like something akin loyalty is still alive and well. Then again, I'll believe it when I see it.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that?
