Cruisin'

There's just something about spending the day cruising the bike in the great weather here in LA (Lower Alabama). It was somewhere in the a '60s - people here were wearing shorts, t-shirts, and sandles - the sun was shining, my bike was out of the shop, and I took off.

Spent some time in and around Mobile then took off to Hurley, MS. It was a great ride and a great day. Just hangin' out, meetin' new people, and lovin' every minute of it. I must admit. . .I could definitely use more days like today.

Now if I can just keep that battery charged. . .

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now.
