I'm livin the hi-life now!

Well. . .I did it. I went Saturday and purchased a chainsaw! It's mine, all mine.

It's kind of funny though - I had a friend call me Saturday and asked what I was doing? I looked around the living room and found I had a room with a new couch, chair, and ottoman, concrete floor (I ripped up my carpent last weekend), my laptop screamin' the information highway and a new chainsaw. Oh yeah, I had college football on the tele and my brother, Dan, by my side.

It doesn't get any better than this. This is what I would call the hi-life! How many people do you know can have college football playing in the background while they surf the internet and check out their new chainsaw? Am I a lucky man or what?

YEAH BABY!!

Where's that tree that fell over my fence? Oh hey, how do you start this thing?

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? Need a speaker that speaks truth with wisdom? Get Randles. College or students. He's good. But the late nights and early mornings - WHEW!!

I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now.
