Farfegnugen!!

Last week I picked a care I purchased from a friend of mine. It's a Volkswagen Passat (V6). I love this car! As I drove from D/FW to Lufkin I enjoyed every minute of it. Do you know how fast you can go around a corner with a suggested speed of 60 mph? It ain't 60 mph! That's on the low end.

I have owned a Volkswagen Jetta and a '71 Super Beetle. Those were great cars. I couldn't tear them up until one was totaled by a hit and run and the other was in a accident. I love getting this car on the highway and letting her go.

She's a cool green color. I need a name for her, something that is fast, slick, but most of all smooooothe. Why? Because she is smoooothe.

Camp is Good!

I'm home from a week at a student camp - Camp Chaparral . I was there teaching students how God created them for a place of ministry and encouraging them to involved - somehow. . .somewhere. I was also the guest of Pam & Steve Sparks. They are wonderful friends from my Lufkin days. Steve is the Assistant Director of the camp. Better give a shout out to the staff - Hey Mike, David, Heather, Doug, Tim, Nate, Govani (spelling?) - thanks for a great week. These guys work really, really hard to make your camp stay the greatest. And it was. But I'm exhausted! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm getting too old for this kind of thing? I was listening to one of the local radio stations - kwyq, The Way FM, this morning on the way to the office. Favorite Cereals

As I was scarfing down a bowl of Total I was thinking about my favorite cereals. Cereal has always been a part of our family - it didn't matter whether it was grabbing a bowl before school and sitting with my Grandpa as he at a bowl of Raisin Bran after church on Sunday nights. Growing up I had my faves. I would still eat them, but me and a lot of sugar in the morning is no bueno. As many of you can attest, it's not like I need more sugar! So I also have favorites now. Here's my list of favorite cereals: Then Cap'n Crunch - the original and all-time favorite, and breakfast with the Cap'n - how do you beat that?
